The Slow Club of St. Martin de Ré

Discover a new way of thinking about animation

Your cocoon for reconnecting with what's essential

A place to share and reconnect, where nature and creativity meet

The Slow Temple

This is where it all began; it’s kind of like Slow Animation’s lab.

This cozy space is divided into four areas:

  • The Happiness Teepee, with its soft cushions and stories of the tribe.
  • The family living room, complete with a teapot, for a cozy chat.
  • The Creative Workshop, where anything can be created using materials from our resource library.
  • La Casa Pastel, with its mini-market, kitchenette, thrift shop, and wooden toys.

Enjoy our activities—they’re easy to join and free of charge; just be sure to arrive on time so you don’t miss a thing.

Here, children aged 3 to 12 (who are 3 years old and already in school) are welcome to join the group without their parents.

Open exclusively in July and August.

  • Raising Awareness and Respect for Life
  • Great Nature and Adventure Activities
  • Creative Workshops and Natural Treasures
  • Independent group for ages 3 to 12
  • Family Activities and Relaxing Moments

Imagine, create, express yourself

Art workshops every afternoon for children and families, where participants create their own treasures using natural or recycled materials: simple, creative moments where imagination takes root and every creation tells a story.

An Adventure in the Great Outdoors

Exciting scavenger hunts, mysteries, and mysterious explorations that blend a love of challenge with a sense of wonder. It’s also a chance to enjoy storytelling and mystery-solving evenings deep in the forest.

Peace and friendliness

Relaxing moments to enjoy a cup of herbal tea together, read, or listen to the birds singing: a gentle respite to slow down, reconnect, and savor the beauty of life’s simplest moments. These are also times of discovery and exploration for parents and toddlers, to grow and marvel together.

The Slow Club, a timeless interlude

Step inside the Slow Club and immerse yourself in a space where young and old alike come together to share, create, and escape the everyday. Here, every moment is designed to spark curiosity, stimulate the imagination, and make the most of the time spent together. Far from the hectic pace of daily life, make room for relaxation, play, and discovery—all in a simple, unhurried way.
