Traditional weekly markets

Embark on a sensory voyage to discover the know-how, gourmet delights and passion of local producers in the heart of Périgord Noir. Strawberries, melons, chestnuts, porcini mushrooms, foie gras, truffles, honey, walnuts, cheeses, fattened poultry... You'll be spoilt for choice at the various markets in the Dordogne , offering your senses a real taste experience!

  • Monday: Beynac market (mid-June to mid-September) and Les Eyzies market (April to October)
  • Tuesday: Cénac, Le Bugue, Périgueux, Salignac (mid-April to mid-September) and Thénon
  • Wednesday: Sarlat, Montignac-Lascaux, Hautefort, Périgueux, Bergerac
  • Thursday: Organic markets in Sarlat, Domme, Saint Julien de Lampon, Monpazier, Terrasson, Lalinde and Périgueux
  • Friday: La Roque-Gageac (May to September), Bergerac, Le Buisson, Périgueux and Plazac
  • Saturday: Sarlat, Belvès, Bergerac, Le Bugue, Périgueux, Villefranche du Périgord
  • Sundays: Marquay (July/August), Calviac (July/August), Carsac (mid-June to mid-September), Périgueux, Rouffignac, Saint-Geniès, Saint-Cyprien

At these different markets in the Périgord Noir, you can meet local producers face-to-face, and discover and taste authentic local flavours. These markets are also places where you can meet, discover and relax.

Markets are generally held in the morning, and most are open all year round.

Summer night markets and gourmet markets

During the summer months, you can discover the gastronomy of the Périgord right through to the end of the night. From mid-June to mid-September, in a completely different atmosphere, take advantage of the night markets and meet the region's producers, breeders and craftsmen. On summer evenings, gourmet markets, also known as tablées nocturnes, are held in village squares, where you can sample local produce prepared by local producers. These Périgord Noir night markets are organized in a friendly, musical atmosphere. What's more, they're great outings to enjoy with family and friends.

  • Fridays: Les Eyzies, Salignac, Valojoulx, Besse, Saint-Cybranet, Le Buisson, Carsac-Aillac
  • Saturday: Saint-Pompont, Audrix
  • Sunday: Limeuil
