Hot-air balloon flights in the Dordogne

A hot-air balloon flight is a unique and unforgettable experience aboard a balloon, led by a qualified pilot. The perfect location for this adventure? The Dordogne, offering magnificent natural landscapes and a multitude of castles to observe from the sky.

Sharing a moment out of time and flying over the valley is a memorable experience! You'll board a heated balloon with a professional pilot who's passionate about sharing his pleasure of of hot-air ballooning.

During your hot-air balloon flight over the Dordogneyou'll have the opportunity to admire incredible panoramas: green hills dotted with medieval castles such as the Château de Beynac or the Château de Castelnaudbut also the Fort de la Roque Gageacand the rivers and streams that meander through the warmth of the valley. You'll also spot some typical farms and charming charming villages in the breeze.

Preparing for your flight

Gliding through the air in a hot-air balloon is an incredibly peaceful and soothing experience that requires no special skills. All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the splendid views over the entire Dordogne valley. But the best part is always when your pilot graciously brings you ashore, with the help of one or two local people. So why not embark on this extraordinary journey today?

Your hot-air balloon trip is divided into four phases: preparation, flight, landing and storage. Once the balloon has been filled with hot air, it becomes lighter than its surroundings and rises. Unfortunately, this also means that you can't maneuver the vehicle, as you can't control the direction of the wind. To go higher, you need to add heat, while to go lower, you need to cool the gas reserves.
