Located in Le Bugue, Dordogne, in the heart of the Vézère valley, Parc du Bournat is a real time machine, imagined by a heritage enthusiast. Set in 8 hectares of natural surroundings, this reconstructed village invites young and old alike to experience a day in the life of 1900. In fact, everything evokes the gentle way of life of yesteryear: the old-fashioned funfair, century-old merry-go-rounds, forgotten crafts, boat or carriage rides...

The Parc du Bournat brings to life the village of yesteryear in every detail. From the moment they enter, visitors are struck by the smells of warm bread, handmade soap and freshly crushed walnuts.
In the narrow streets lined with traditional houses, the schoolhouse of yesteryear, the dwelling house, or the blacksmith's workshop plunge everyone back into theauthentic atmosphere of the early XXᵉ century. The tinkling of the anvil, the laughter around old-fashioned games, the 1900 Ferris Wheel spinning gently under the Perigordian sky... The entire estate offers a unique sensory experience.
Period crafts, costumes and traditions
At Parc du Bournat, ancestral know-how comes to life before your very eyes. Blacksmiths, bakers, wood turners, weavers... Craftsmen work as they did in 1900, with precise gestures and an infectious passion. The leisure center also houses a large collection of antiques, including vintage toys, craftsmen's tools, horse-drawn carriages, furniture and farm machinery that bear witness to daily life in days gone by. In the mini-farm, young and old alike can meet donkeys, sheep, ducks, chickens and peacocks, which roam freely between streams and meadows. Between demonstrations of forgotten trades and animal discoveries, the visit becomes a real educational and entertaining adventure.

Opening hours, prices and tickets
Parc du Bournat welcomes you from April 5 to September 28, for a timeless escape in the heart of Périgord.
- Low season (April 5 to June 30, September 1 to 28): 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- High season (July 1 to August 31): 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Nocturnes: until 11pm on evenings of special events
Please note: in May, June and September, the leisure center is closed on Wednesdays (except at night).

Access from Le Bugue, Sarlat, Périgueux
Parc du Bournat is ideally located in Le Bugue, in the heart of the Dordogne, in the magnificent Vézère Valley.
From Le Bugue: the estate is just a few minutes' drive from the town center. Alternatively, you can walk along the banks of the Vézère for a pleasant stroll. From our open-air hotel, it's a 15-minute drive!
From Sarlat-la-Canéda: a 35-minute drive along the D47, a beautiful crossing of the Périgord Noir between charming villages and wooded landscapes.
From Périgueux: allow around 45 minutes on the D710, a pleasant road that partly follows the valley.
The leisure center has a large free parking lot for visitors.
